All three tournaments were completed on time. Here is a summary of the results:
- Individual Champion - David Wedge (Hebden Bridge)
- The first-game-losers tournament was won by Jon-Paul Ellis (Hebden Bridge)
- Team Champions - Todmorden
Now a summary of the tournament finances:
- Income £7.40 from 22 individual entry fees @ 20p and 6 team entry fees @ 50p.
- Organiser's Expenses £1.00, on phone calls.
- Surplus £6.40 passed on to the league treasurer. If it's not needed to cover the engraving costs, perhaps it could go towards
a trophy for the losers tournament?
The 2006 competition details will continue to be available online until the end of the year. I shall invite entries for the 2007 events
from mid-February onwards. I intend to make a significant change next year by not only setting round deadlines, but also
stipulating default dates and venues for games/matches, approximately 2 weeks before each deadline. Competitors will be free to agree
alternative arrangements, but must obviously do so ahead of the defaults.
I would like to thank those who registered for the competition and used the online facility to enter their results. It does make the job
of organising the KO events that much easier for me.
